Masoud holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Yazd University, Iran (2018). He joined Loughborough University as a Research Associate in "Sensing and Perception for Industrial Robotics" in 2022. He worked as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Sirjan University of Technology, Sirjan, Iran from 2017 to 2019 and from 2021 to 2022. Formerly, he worked at the City University of London as Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in "Planetary Robotics Navigation and Decision Making", on the Horizon 2020 EU-funded project (PRO-ACT project) from 2019 to 2021. He has also been a Research Assistant at the Autonomous and Intelligence Systems Laboratory (AISL), Simon Fraser University, Canada from 2016 to 2017. His current research interests fall into Autonomous Robots, Industrial Robots, Robot Navigation, Cooperative VSLAM/VO, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Self-driving Cars, Mechanism Design, and Control Systems.
