Dr. Tiziana C. Callari presents to the ‘Designing the Future: Ethical Reflections in Human-Robot Interaction’ Seminar in Modena

Dr. Tiziana C. Callari, Senior Research Fellow at the Intelligent Automation Centre of Loughborough University, presented some of her most recent research at the Fondazione Marco Biagi seminar in Modena on the 18th of April.

Her talk, entitled ‘Designing the Future: Ethical Reflections in Human-Robot Interaction’ provided an excellent opportunity to discuss her research in this most fascinating of fields.

The event was part of the ‘PhD in Work, Development and Innovation’ program and brought together a number of speakers to discuss and analyse the ethical implications of the growing integration between robotics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in everyday and professional contexts.

With a background in Work, Organizational Psychology and Human Factors, Tiziana carries out interdisciplinary research in the field of advanced robotics. Her most recent work within the Smart Cobotics Centre is focused on defining an ethical framework for human-robot collaboration in the manufacturing industry, addressing the new ethical challenges at the heart of the scientific debate around increasingly sophisticated and autonomous systems.

Tiziana was delighted to be able to present her research to such a relevant audience, and the experience was made even more special by the fact that she was on home territory!
