Specialist panel announced for Regulation, Governance & Ethics workshop on 12th and 13th March
Here at the Smart Cobotics Centre we are making final preparations for our Regulation, Governance and Ethics workshop which is taking place at the University of Dundee on Tuesday 12th and Wednesday 13th March 2024.
Each of the two days will involve a mix of presentation, discussion, keynote speeches and interactive sessions as we explore the barriers and challenges that implementing cobots might present, and how early consideration of this can enhance employee productiveness, efficiency and wellbeing.
We feel really fortunate to have secured some wonderful keynote speakers in Associate Professor Filippo Santoni de Sio (Delft University of Technology) and Professor Shannon Vallor (University of Edinburgh), with each covering topics which really do lie at the heart of the ‘human considerations’ that need to be made when AI – particularly collaborative robotics – are introduced to the modern day workplace.
We are now also delighted to announce that our expert panel will include Steph Wright of the Scottish AI Alliance, Stephen Peacock and Adam Surtee of Information Commissioner’s Office and Nicholas Hall of the Health & Safety Executive.
For details of the full agenda of both, free-to-attend days, including our evening reception dinners and gallery tours at the McManus Dundee and the V&A Dundee, please simply follow this link
